As a mom, there is much that consumes my day taking care of all that is involved in running a household. Just like every other mom out there, my time is short! But even with the precious few minutes I have to spare, I want to bring a little holiday joy to my kids no matter the season. With all of us time-crunched moms in mind, here is a quick Halloween glasses tutorial to bring a smile or two to your children, so you can feel like you’re getting into the Halloween spirit!
To make these Halloween glasses, you’ll just need a black vinyl sticker sheet and a glass or cup. Vinyl sticker sheets are widely available just about everywhere these days—in a rainbow of colors! There are some of you that may have fancy cutting machines, but a plain pair of scissors will also work just fine.
For the cups shown here, I used $1 milk bottles from the craft store, but you can use plastic cups, sippy cups, pint glasses or whatever else is readily available to you that you don’t mind your children using. I may or may not have gotten carried away and now own a set of jack-o-lantern pint glasses myself.
Making these cups is so simple. Turn over the vinyl sheet and draw on a Halloween face (pumpkins and ghosts are perfect). Cut out your drawings, peel off the release paper and stick the faces to the front of your cups. Voila, you’re done, and I bet in less than our promised five minutes.
It’s the small details our kids remember, and something so quick and fun to celebrate the season is sure to be appreciated!
