The Nuna IVVI

Here at Project Nursery, we’ve been fans of the Dutch baby gear company Nuna for a while now, and we were intrigued when they revealed a new stroller that will grow with little ones from birth until their strolling days are over. I couldn’t wait to check out their latest innovation, the Nuna IVVI, at the Eventi hotel in Manhattan.

The IVVI stroller, available in August, is adjustable to four modes that will accommodate for the growing baby/toddler: carry cot, infant car seat, rear-facing and forward-facing. The included car seat adapters fit both the Nuna PIPA and Maxi-Cosi infant car seats. It’s simple to interchange the seat and carry cot with the click of a button, and the luxe Oeko-Tex fabric feels plush and durable. As a New Yorker who utilizes strollers like all-terrain vehicles, I’m very excited about the size and versatility of the IVVI’s large, under-seat basket. It’s roomy enough to haul groceries and baby gear, and it has an adjustable divider that flips up to separate belongings or folds flat to hide personal items.

Nuna IVVI Stroller and Carry Cot

Both the seat of the stroller and the carry cot feature an oversized, extendable canopy and an integrated dream drape that can be pulled down to provide extra protection from the elements for more comfortable strolling and naps. The dream drape is secured with a simple magnetic mechanism, so you can quickly adjust it for baby’s comfort. I’m also impressed with the versatility of the all-weather seat. The cozy top layer can be zipped off when you’re ready to utilize the breathable mesh seat in warmer climates.

Nuna IVVI Stroller Collection

The IVVI carry cot includes a reversible mattress pad that features both a warm, micro-knit side and a comfortable, cool weather side. I also happen to love the secret storage compartment at the foot of the carry cot, complete with a removable clutch for valuable items.

Nuna IVVI Carry Cot

The one-handed push of the IVVI makes for easy maneuvering, and the adjustable handlebar provides comfort while strolling. It has a simple, flexible fold and stands on its own when folded. With a sleek design available in caviar, safari and ruby, the IVVI is both functional and chic.

Nuna IVVI Stroller

As with all Nuna products, the IVVI is comprised of high-quality, durable materials passing extreme safety and endurance testing. For more information and to purchase the Nuna IVVI ($799.95) and carry cot ($199.95) visit Nuna’s website.

    Monica,
How do you think the Nuna Ivvi compares to the Bugaboo Cameleon and Uppa Baby Vista, in terms of NYC living? Size, weight, maneuverability, comfort? Having our first baby in December and trying to choose between the three… Could use some advice! Thanks!!

I think that the Nuna IVVI is great for city strolling because it is
smooth to maneuver and has a lot of great features like the extended
canopy and handy spots for stashing valuables. Unlike other comparable
strollers, I found it really straightforward to collapse and I like that
it can stand freely on its own while folded. Although the IVVI felt a
bit big, the lengthy chair has the bonus of being able to grow with baby
well into toddler-hood. I think that the biggest difference among the
three strollers mentioned is that the Uppa Baby Vista can support a
    second seat.

Hi Monica, it’s a little hard for me to find a Nuna IVVI stroller in person to test out, so I was wondering if you can do a side by side comparison of the IVVI with the Uppababy Vista. I’m mainly curious about the handling of the IVVI compared to the vista and how the two compares when it folds, etc. thank you so much, Monica!

    Hi Monica,

My husband and I are expecting our first at the end of this year and we are just torn between the Nuna IVVI stroller and the Bugaboo Buffalo. Do you prefer one over the other at all?

Thank you in advance for your time and help! I appreciate it <3
