Operation Shower: Journey of Love Baby Shower

If you haven’t heard of Operation Shower, read on to learn more about this amazing nonprofit organization that supports military families by hosting baby showers in their honor. With their spouses deployed in other parts of the world, military moms-to-be often have to travel the road of pregnancy and childbirth alone. Because they give up so much, they deserve our thanks, our love and yes, even a little party to celebrate the arrival of their newest little family members.

Throughout this month of thanks, Operation Shower will be hosting parties as part of their Operation: Party. Support. Love. initiative. The money raised at these events—including the one highlighted below—will provide things like books, diapers, onesies and baby showers for deserving military families. If you can’t attend one of the showers, even a small online donation to Operation Shower will make a difference in these families’ lives—click here to give! You can also check out the organization’s YouTube channel to see just how much your donations are appreciated.

Recently, Operation Shower hosted a Journey of Love baby shower for over forty moms-to-be in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The event was sponsored by the Jim & Tabitha Furyik Foundation, and everything—from flowers to sweets to all the products needed to take care of a little one—was donated thanks to the incredible outpouring of generosity from many local businesses and volunteers.

What a great organization! I wish about this sooner! I have a couple of soon to be moms that I would like to nominate! My brother is deployed and going to miss the birth of his first child that is due around Christmas. Thank you for your Support for Our Military. You don’t realize how much Military Families need and appreciate your support! This is one Proud Navy Mommy to be (again)!
