I totally fell in love with this soft aqua, pink and peach party when I saw it. It’s not over-the-top. It’s not unachievable for everyone but the talented few. It’s not that expensive to recreate, but you know what this pretty little birthday brunch is? Unabashedly feminine, stylish, thoughtful and executed with great quality. The stylist, Nikki from Tikkido.com, has shown quite a few great examples of how to really get the most out of your party details without investing an insane amount of money or time.
Starting with the theme, “A” is for Addalyn, Tikkido made the party entirely personal. They set a menu so that everything they served started with an “A.” Extremely clever! There were apricot thumbprint cookies, “A” monogram sugar cookies, apple oatmeal cookies and, of course, a few apples for good measure. As a theme, “A” is for Addalyn is an idea that is easy to use for any child’s name.
If you look closely, you’ll see there really isn’t an overabundance on the dessert table, but every item there was done well—quality counts when you’re styling! The cupcake stand is a bit of genius—it’s made of cake rounds, paper, lace and spray painted baby blocks. A stand like this costs only a few dollars to make, and it’s extremely personalized and customized to the party.
Tikkido also made this beautiful floral “A” for the party. She says all the flowers for the event were less than $25, including this piece! That’s a small investment for such a big impact. You can see how to make this monogram A on her website.
The stationery was all handmade for this party, and it’s not as hard to do as it sounds. A bit of watercolor paper is all you need, and you don’t even have to have a penchant for painting to make something that looks great and leaves a lasting impression on your guests.
With simplicity and quality you don’t have to go overboard to have a beautiful event, and from these darling pictures, I would say that Addalyn agrees!

The floral A is just smashing gorgeous! And I love the idea of using sealing wax with the A monogram seal on the invitation to add some old-world charm to it.

Is that a sealing wax on the invitation envelopes or something else? Anybody here knows where I can get sealing wax?
