Bohemian Flare In the Nursery

Lately, I have been so attracted to the use of Moroccan and Indian-inspired bohemian decor for the nursery.  Bold prints and colors that are the common threads in these looks, tend to make impressive and vivid statements when used the right way in a child’s room.

I adore lanterns like these featured with a Bellini Vanessa Crib for their bright colors and interesting shapes. They complement the bedding while adding life to the blank walls. (Photo from Room to Grow, Susanna Salk-room decorated by Leslie Hunt)

Moroccan poufs, like the ones Serena and Lily sell, look fabulous in place of a simple bean bag chair.

Bedding such as Rikshaw Designs, uses  block printing techniques done on soft Indian cotton voile for an authentic Indian look and feel.

This bedroom from House Beautiful, designed by “Gene Meyer and Frank de Biasi is a tour de force of traditional Moroccan woodwork, custom-made in Marrakech.”

Bohemian room decor by Lilipad Solutions is perfect to achieve this look, even if just for a fun accent.

Oh my, Bohemian! How come it never crossed my mind! A Bohemian theme is a sure-fire way to make your nursery truly unique, interesting and spiced up. It takes a little bit of a daring personality to be able to pull off a Bohemian theme.

I loooove the look of the first room displayed here. The moroccan-inspired look is a sure look for a nursery that will also grow well with the child. It is so interesting, we could be sitting in it for hours!!

Love this room! My daughter has a bohemian themed nursery! Where did you find these lanterns? I would love to add them to her room.
