A Blooming Birthday Party!

What little girl doesn’t dream of a birthday party full of beautiful flowers?!  With Spring just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to start planning a party with tons of cute flower details.   This colorful invitation from WH Hostess sets the color palette as pink, yellow, blue and green…perfect for Spring!

Set your table with a few key details that when put together are sure to impress.  Create a centerpiece using metal pails full of  felt flowers.  Cover the table with a solid tablecloth, colorful melamine tumblers and these DARLING, do-it-yourself flower placemats.  These placemats are simple to make…..use foam circles from your local craft store and embellish with a silk flower head and ric rac to look like a flower.  Add a large, round crystal in the center of the flower to add a touch of bling!  Give the birthday girl a special touch at her placesetting – a personalized melamine plate with a big flower on it.

Carry the flower theme into your food, as well.  You could arrange veggies and dip to look like flowers, or use lollipops and sugar candy on cupcakes to resemble flowers.  Get creative….the more you tie together your theme, the more cohesive the party will be.  No party would be complete without party favors!  I personally, LOVE this idea!  One of my good friends, Melanie,  designs a darling line of hair bows called Mel-Belles.  She has adorable bows for just about any occasion….and now, she has party favors!  She designed these flower bows with our party in mind – the set includes a big bow for the birthday girl to wear, and 4 small bows that come presented on a card, ready to be placed in a goodie bag.  How cute is that?!

I really like the idea of giving away hair accessories at a little girl’s party. It’s a fun alternative to those gift bags filled with sugary candy! Thanks!

I love the lollipop cupcake idea! My daughters love lollipops and this would knock their socks off to see them in a cupcake. Thanks for the idea!
