It’s time for another e-design reveal! This time it’s a nursery with a very unusual theme—bees. My client has a long family history of beekeeping and wanted to incorporate bee and honey themed decor into the nursery design (without it being scary or creepy, of course).
The entire color palette was pulled from a vintage honey label that belonged to my client. I included that label in a small gallery wall above the crib, mixed with other vintage labels and a few honeycomb shelves (don’t worry, those are soft items in there—nothing that will fall and hurt the baby).
The bee wallpaper was a great find! I found several others that had yellow and/or black in them, but the light blue and white feels so much softer. The room is on the small side, so the wallpaper will only be used on an accent wall as to not make the space feel smaller.
We went with white furniture to help keep the room light and bright, and then we accented the space with a fun colorful rug with a great floral pattern. All in all, it’s one bee-autiful space!
