We put together a cool DIY artwork project for all your cool kids. I love easy projects that make a great visual impact. And what’s easier than a free printable DIY project, right? Let’s get started on making this DIY cool kid banner art!
First, grab the Cool Kid printable artwork from here. Once you download the .pdf file, print it out and cut it to size.
MATERIALS: Besides the printable file, you will also need two oak boards measuring 1.5 inches wide by 12 inches long and a few yellow rubber bands.
Step 1: Place the two oak boards together and secure them by using one of the rubber bands at the end.
Step 2: Place the printout between the two oak boards. Note that I also cut a white paper the same size as the printout just to add a detail to the final piece.
Step 3: Attach another rubber band at the other end of the oak boards. In order to hang this piece on the wall, you can attach a thin white yarn by looping through the rubber bands on both sides.
Tutorial for Wooden Peg Wall Hooks
Because of its triangular shape, this artwork is a great addition to a fun gallery wall, but it also works great all by itself. The neutral colors could be used in a girl’s room or a boy’s room. And the bright yellow is a fun color to have in any kid’s space. I really like how this piece turned out.
