Looking for simple and affordable art for your child’s room? Well, you might not have to look any further than old paint swatches from your latest remodel project.
We found a fun and creative way to turn paint swatches into fun wall décor. Simply gather any paint swatches you may have around the house. Once you have your swatches in hand, you will need a 2” round circle cutter to cut them into circles and half circles. After you cut all pieces, lay them out alternating the pattern between a full circle and a half circle. The pattern can be any way you choose. For our décor piece, we used seven elements per strand while creating a total of three strands.
Once you decide on the pattern, it is time to attach the paper swatches to the thin white yarn. I used a hot glue gun and it took me about 15 minutes to complete the piece.
Once the items are ready, all that is left is to hang them from the wall. I recommend using small nails. Also, it is good to note that a simple double sided tape at the end of each strand might be helpful in preventing it from showing the unfinished side of the swatches. Remember to keep out of reach of small children.
Keeping up with the ombré fashion, this beautiful décor in shades of pink would look absolutely darling in the nursery, right? If you get to do this project, let us know how it turned out.
