Where did you pull inspiration for your nursery design?
My goal in creating this nursery space was to fully embrace the feminine side of design. With my first two girls, I always had it in the back of my mind that I should buy items that could be used for both a girl’s room and a boy’s room in case we ended up having a boy one day. When we found out our third baby was a girl, and knowing that she would most likely be our last baby, I just went full on girly.
I didn’t want it to just be a pink explosion so I really tried to pull in other elements to balance the space. I incorporated texture and a lot of neutrals throughout the room, but the wallpaper is definitely the focal point. Everything else kind of worked around it.
What part of the design process did you enjoy the most?
I had picked out the majority of the accents in the room before having a sample of the wallpaper in my hand. I knew this was a huge risk, but when the wallpaper did come in and I saw how perfectly everything tied together, I totally did a happy dance!
What is your favorite part or detail in your nursery?
It’s so hard to pick one thing, but I really love the velvet rocker. We found it as a floor sample, and it just so happened to be the perfect shade of rosy pink. It’s super comfortable, and I love that I can add legs to it later if we want to use it in another room.
What is one thing that you would tell other parents to consider when starting their own nursery design project?
I would say to find pieces that inspire you and build a room around that. Also, remember that you are going to spend a LOT of time in this room so really making it a retreat that you enjoy is so important!

What color is the rocker from Pottery Barn? I see a twoo different pink and blush options. I’m not sure if it is the vintage velvet in blush or the Belgin Linen in Rose. This nursery is absolutely precious! :) Thanks!
