Functional products that help make the early stages of parenting a bit easier are always of interest to the Project Nursery team. We recently introduced you to Munchkin’s mbaby apparel line, so we couldn’t wait to view the entire collection and learn about their new LATCH bottles at the recent Momtrends Munchkin event.
The three Munchkin mbaby apparel styles—Onester, Sleepster and Playwear—boast several standout multifunctional features. The double-layer front in the Onester and Sleepster functions as a built-in safe-sleep blanket, and it is made from ultra-soft material. The convertible feet of the Sleepster allow for bare feet or covered feet, and they also feature a modern print, subtle polka dots or stripes when cuffed—a lovely look with room to grow! I imagine that the snap guide on the Onester and Sleepster makes delirious diaper changes a breeze with its shiny, contrasting brass snap in the center.
I love how mbaby’s high-quality materials are complemented by special details like graphics on the buttons and intricate stitching—all designed with a sweet fitted-body construction. The additional pieces in the playwear collection make the mbaby line perfect for both home and special outings.
This event also highlighted Munchkin’s new and innovative LATCH bottle, specifically designed to mimic breastfeeding. The LATCH bottle’s patent-pending accordion-style nipple stretches, moves and pumps like the breast, and the bevy of LATCH nipples supports a range of breastfeeding/bottle-feeding needs (level 1 is ultra-slow to match breast milk flow rate). LATCH’s anti-colic valve is just one piece, keeping air bubbles out of milk and reducing the risk of colic. Munchkin even had sterilized bottles on hand at the event for the pint-sized attendees to test out on their own!
Munchkin has proved once again that they are staying true to their origins of recognizing “the little things” that make a difference in parenthood.
The Munchkin mbaby collection is available at munchkin.com. The Munchkin LATCH bottles will be available in Spring 2014 at Babies ‘R’ Us and specialty stores nationwide.
