Cradle and All

As gorgeous as some of today’s crib designs are, I sometimes feel their smaller counterparts, the cradle and bassinet, can be just as dramatic. So many of our clients buy these spectacular pieces and use them as a family heirloom to be passed on for generations of babies.

This cradle is one of our signature pieces. It makes an elegant statement with simple design and lace-trimmed sheers.

I am a huge fan of metallic, especially the way it’s done in this gorgeous cradle by Bratt Decor. This cradle is so rich and luxurious, it can be used as a display piece in the nursery long after baby outgrows it.

Upholstered cribs are a growing trend, but I adore this upholstered cradle by AFK even more. Perfect for a boy or a girl, this is definitely an heirloom keepsake.

There is nothing like an over-the-top bassinet to be the showstopper in any nursery. This collection of bassinets by Lulla Smith is one of the most elegant I have come across. I think it’s because the bedding reminds me of a wedding dress…Love it!

All these cradles are gorgeous! I find it hard to pick one design!

Yes, indeed, cradles like these are so romantic and have that rustic and nostalgic charm. But I don’t find them practical, given the very little amount of time they’re going to be in use.

Well, you’re right, Marissa. You are probably going to use this only a few months of your baby’s life, but just keep it for future children. Like what Michelle said, these make perfect heirloom pieces. If you get a really great one, your child can pass it on to his children, and his children’s children!
