Room Tour: Stripes are Here to Stay

Stripes are the next big thing in the baby’s nursery! And we’re showing you a beautiful example of how to do it on Project Nursery’s ALL NEW YouTube Channel

Today’s example comes from mom and designer, Lindsay, of Anyon Designs, who created a beautiful nursery for her baby Hawken. Lindsay painted horizontal stripes all throughout the room. Normally, this might feel a little cluttered, but by using light grey and white, she created a clean, subtle and masculine nursery.

Let us know what you think of Hawken’s Nursery in the comments, and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel. We look forward to bringing you new content every week.

Upload your projects to ProjectNursery.com and who knows? We might feature you on our blog or in our videos!

Thanks for watching!

I have painted over paneling in my soon to be nursery, do you guys think vertical stripes would have the same effect? The room has a lot of natural light and tall ceilings. My other thought was to do the stripes on the ceiling instead of the walls…. thoughts?

    Aly,

Hey Aly, Vertical stripes would be a great impact for one wall. The room could end up a little jail cell looking if you did all the walls. And the ceiling idea is always a fun idea which can often make the room look wider. Can’t wait to see the results! Hope you share with us. Thanks, M

I actually prefer stripes on the wall than chevron pattern. ;)

Nice and neat nursery. I look forward to more video features, and perhaps longer “air” time.

You got a point Melisa. The room would look like jail is you the vertical stripes on all the walls. Horizontal and vertical stripes therefore do not have the same impact.
