Raindrops: The Colorful Party

I recently had the pleasure of working with an incredible stylist on the relaunch of the bean’s closet. Katie, of Petite Social, is a wiz at styling everything from birthday parties to professional photo shoots. When I came across this shoot she styled for a book launch, I thought it was the perfect inspiration for a great summer kick-off party for the kiddies.

The shoot was set as a colorful playdate centered around a new book, Raindrops: A Shower of Colors written by Chiêu Anh Urban and illustrated by Viviana Garofoli. This new concept book features see-through raindrops that blend together to make new colors, so Katie thought it was a no-brainer to create a rainbow-inspired set.

Colorful streamers and paper chains made up the simple yet colorful backdrop for a yummy table of rainbow-colored treats. From amazing cake pops by Custom Cake Bites to spectacular cakes by Sugar High, all the sweets were deliciously color coordinated.

Rainbow lollipops and popcorn cones were great simple additions to the table decor.

Your cake looks so pretty, with the whale and the sea. I wonder how the top tier looks like, though.

The book sounds really interesting. I’ll make sure to check it out at the book shop. My kiddos are such book monsters!
