I don’t know why exactly, but lately I have yellow on the brain. Maybe it’s the Northeastern fall foliage or the bright sunshine we have been having that’s inspiring me, but whatever it is, I am crazy about yellow. I’m not talking about gold or anything bright and loud, but the softer hues of yellow. Here are some looks and finds that I think work wonders in a yellow setting.
This nursery, courtesy of Ohdeedoh, features a Bellini Vanessa crib, with custom Blauen linens. I think the carpet is the perfect touch.
The Anthropologie rug in this nursery steals the show. The texture and pattern make it the wow factor of the room.
Displaying a child’s china, pottery or gift in an open bookcase or glass, china-like cabinet is a fun way to bring in a burst of color. These pieces from Alex Marshall bring a warmth and sweetness to a classic nursery.
Jennifer Delonge always plays with bold patterns and colors, but her Ava’s toddler chair and ottoman in this yellow pattern is a new level of awesome. It’s sophisticated but youthful at the same time. I can see it in a nursery or little girl’s room.

Yellow is a really great color. For me, it reflects optimism. I just saw this project in the gallery — http://projectnursery.com/projects/erics-gray-and-yellow-modern-nursery/ — and couldn’t keep myself from wanting this yellow pouf!

I love yellow whether it is a splash or an entire room like the fabulous one in this post!

I love yellow….it is such a cheery color and makes you smile! I did my son’s nursery in a buttery yellow 32 years ago. His crib bedding was custom made in a yellow gingham and I did a nursery rhyme theme with pictures and lamp.
