Help The Babies of Haiti

UPDATE: Thank you all for supporting Playdate for Haiti’s diaper/formula drive. $25K in diapers and formula has been sent to two Haitian Orphanages.

The devastation in Haiti is shocking and impossible to imagine. Even my 4 year old daughter gets the severity of the situation and just yesterday she decided to donate money out of her very own piggy bank (true story!). When we heard that Jayneoni Moore, Host of the Celebrity Boom Boom Room, Philanthropist & Project Nursery reader created a diaper and formula drive for the children of Haiti we wanted to get involved.

Jayneoni got the idea to start the drive after watching a heartbreaking segment on CNN.  Newscaster Soledad O’Brien was filming from a local orphanage in Haiti, the scene was described as tragic. Young babies are dying from dehydration because they have no formula or clean water and have been transferred to local orphanages in Haiti. What is needed is:

  • Disposable Diapers – All Sizes
  • Powered Formula
  • Baby Wipes
  • Guaze and first aid products
  • Onesies

Donations can be dropped off or shipped to 269 South Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, Ca 90212 by Tuesday, January 26th. All items will be packaged and shipped to Haiti this Wednesday, January 27th.

**If you live in the LA area and want to volunteer on Wednesday to help pack the boxes to be shipped, email Jayneoni at jayneoni@gmail.com. You can read more about Jayneoni’s efforts on her blog or her twitter page.

Help Haiti onesie created by Etsy artist Naomi Cayne: $12 from each onesie sold (all 100% of the proceeds) will be donated directly to the American Red Cross or Save the Children (your choice) to aid in their relief efforts in Haiti. Click the photo above visit naomicayne's etsy shop.
