Design Board: Punchy Sorbet

Ok, so I may be a little ahead of myself but I am bursting with ideas for my new nursery. Granted, I am early into my pregnancy and have no idea what I will be having. The designer in me however is very excited to get my ideas out and share them with all of our PN readers.

My inspiration for “Blake’s Nursery” began with an art piece and it just rolled on from there. This design is still very preliminary but I wanted to get a start. I plan to use more punchy sorbet colors than you would typically see in a nursery. So if it is a girl, I will use chocolate brown, sorbet pink, and a cantaloupe orange. I am still searching for the perfect bedding and furniture. I don’t want the bedding to be too matchy or too baby. Rather, I am shooting for an “Anthropologie look” so I will keep you all posted on my findings.

If you love any of the items listed, comment on this post or drop me an e-mail and I’ll let you know where to find them. Stay tuned for my boy nursery ideas and Blake updates :)

    Hi Rebecca,

Great ideas! I’m having such a hard time finding lamps. Where are those adorable polkadot ones from? Love the turquoise one.

I’m in love with that shell lamp! Where did you find it?! I’ve been in love with this color scheme as well but can’t seem to find bedding that would go along with it. Have you had any further luck?

I love the colors. I have been trying to find a color scheme with the orange and pink, but with a green instead of the chocolate brown. Do you have any recommendations?

I LOVE this idea. My husband and I are adopting a little girl that is due to arrive December 5th. I’d love to see what this would look like put together (as I can’t really picture all the elements together…although I can try I guess)

Do you have any updated posts for this nursery set?

Love the idea collage! This is the color scheme I want to use for our little girl. Can anyone tell me where to find the bird artwork and polka dot lamp? (or even knock-off products that are simliar?) Thanks!
