My kids and I go to the local park every day and recently I noticed a mother there who had the most beautiful hair. I complimented her on it and she was so taken back! After blushing and stammering quite a bit, she smiled and thanked me. I thought for sure she would have experienced a lifetime of compliments with locks like that but she said she hadn’t.

I haven’t said or heard one nice thing today, now that I think about it—I’ve been home all day with a sick 8-month-old. What a sad realization! So, here goes my first nice comment of the day: I am always surprised at the caliber and quality of mommy bloggers here in the blogosphere– what exceptionally talented writers!

I colored my hair today and it didn’t work out quite as planned . . . My husband knew I was upset about it when he got home this evening, but he told me it looks ‘really good’ and that he’s sure it will look ‘great’ after I ‘wash it a few times’. Actually, my hair’s so dark now, it looks like a wig against my complexion . . . but I appreciated his sweet words:)

We went to the pool and my son was having a blast. He rushed up to me and said “Mom I have to tell you something!” I thought someone hurt him or something but he just said “Mom I love you soooooo much!” and gave me a very wet hug, then jumped back in the pool. It was the best! He’s 3 and the light of my world!

I think its a bit inappropriate for a 6 Yr old.
