Design Reveal: Cool Baby Boy

Have you ever used the excuse “Oh, it’s just a rental” as an excuse not to decorate? Well, little Bronson’s cool baby boys room needs no excuse. Mom Kimberly did a terrific job decorating her son’s room with contemporary pieces and a few trendy zebra touches – which look super in a little boys rooms I must add!

Child’s name: Bronson
Age:
3 1/2 months
Location:
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

What was your inspiration for the room?
We liked the color scheme on one of my Le Sportsac “Tokidoki” Bags. We wanted a room that didn’t scream baby and Winnie the Pooh. Rather, we wanted a room that was the updated version of a cool baby boy’s room.

What best describes your decorating style?
We like cool, modern but chic.

Share with us choice of paint colors, furniture, art, diy tips, etc.
We used Mythic paint. The colors we chose were “Celestial sky and “Mason gray.” The crib and changing table are from Pottery Barn. The Monte Luca glider is by Monte. We chose artwork by Jason Freeny entitled, “Anatomy of a Gummy Bear” and “Anatomy of a Balloon Dog”. We also chose an ABC poster by Made by Girl. We added an Oras Square Mobile to the wall as it doubles as art. We used two floating shelves from Ikea. The zebra rug and zebra sheers were purchased from Target. The waffle curtains were purchased from Bed Bath and Beyond. The zebra side table came from Homegoods.

What is your favorite item(s) in the room?
We love the glider! It has been a lifesaver and we have spent many a night gliding our little Bronson to sleep. We also love the crib! It has three drawers on the bottom that function well as additional storage space.

Is there anything else you would like to share?
We live in a rental but we didn’t want our first son’s baby room to look like a rental. We wanted him to have a space of his own that was eclectic and fun. We really feel like that was what was achieved in this space. All our friends and family adore it! We hope to inspire others to be creative on a budget.

Its such as you read my mind! You appear to grasp so much about this, such as you wrote the e book in it or something. I feel that you could do with some % to power the message home a bit, but other than that, this is fantastic blog. A great read. I’ll definitely be back.
