Description
Rustic meets baby in this outdoor themed nursery!
Design Inspiration
The main inspiration for Tucker's nursery was an outdoors/rustic theme. As we started putting it together, it turned more into a representation of what Tucker's life would be like with his dad - his love for the woods and deer hunting as well as life on the family farm.
Decorating Style
My decorating style is rustic/industrial vintage with a touch of modern.
Project Details
The nursery centered around the mural on the wall. My original plan was to paint the design, but I ended up purchasing it as a vinyl wall decal from Innovative Stencils. The crib is the Hudson crib by Babyletto and the rocker was custom made. They were both purchased at a local boutique, Pickles and Ice Cream in Little Rock, AR. The bookshelves were purchased from IKEA. I had the bedding and curtains custom made by a friend. The antlers and branch curtain rod both came from our family farm. The side table was purchased at Target and canvases were purchased online from Oopsy Daisy. The laundry basket and changing table baskets were all purchased online from Land of Nod. I made the "Tucker" sign hanging on the wall and a good friend of mine made the monogrammed door hanger. The name banner hanging on the crib was part of the decor from my baby shower and was ordered by a friend from Etsy. The rug was purchased from a local boutique in Little Rock several years ago for my nephew's nursery and was passed down to Tucker's nursery.
Favorite Items
I can't decide what my favorite item in the room is! I really love the "Tucker" sign. I also really love the details of the curtains including the antlers and branch curtain rod. I can't leave out the crib though - I love the brown bedding mixed with the gray crib and it's simplicity! There really isn't anything that I don't like about his nursery!
How did you hang the antlers?
i love your tucker sign. Did you use a specific font? I’m currently working on one of my own :)
Where did you find the wooden dog? It is adorable!
I really love what you did with the crates. You were able to turn them into nice and fun display shelves.
The “Tucker” sign really stands out with this project and is my favorite piece. I really feel that personalizing the art with your child’s name really adds that extra special touch. I’d love to also suggest personalized wall art from our collection see them here: http://www.bellarooms.com/Buy-Wall-Art-and-Decor-for-Nursery-s/1825.htm
