Super Cooper’s First Year Super Hero Party!

Description

A bright and colorful DIY super hero party that was super easy to put together!

Design Inspiration

My husband and I have been calling our son Super Cooper before he was even born so a super hero party was the natural choice when it came to throwing his first birthday bash!

Decorating Style

My style is DIY, modern and traditional combined but mostly personalized!  I love making my house a home!

Project Details

Bright colors, DIY projects, like the photo booth, stickers from the dollar store and target dollar section and half priced Halloween super hero items helped put this super hero party together.  Labeling the food with fun super hero sayings and displaying photos for every month of his life.

Favorite Items

My favorite thing about his party was Cooper's smash cake that I made myself and his time capsule box where everyone wrote sweet letters to him to open when he turns 18 years old!

Advice

Start planning your party early, make lists and decorate what you can as early as possible.  I decorated the dining room a week before the party and did as much as the food preparation the night before that I possibly could.  I also enlisted the help of my mother-in-law, daughter and husband.  I made homemade food where I knew it would save me alot of money, like the potato salad and cake and cupcakes but bought store bought items too like french macrons and bite sized macaroni bites from Trader Joes that were a big hit.

Your Batman cake topper in chibi version is too cute.

Nice take on the superhero theme. The photo booth is cool.
