Design Inspiration

I wanted to make Lea's first birthday pretty special. She hasn't really developed a favorite of anything so I wanted to keep the theme somewhat generic. I started looking on Pinterest at ideas and loved the idea of a Sparkle and Shine Theme.

Decorating Style

I may have gone a little overboard, but there were so many great ideas I saw on Pinterest. I wanted to do it all. When I started pricing everything out, I decided I needed to do a lot of things myself.

I loved the Printstagram "1". So fun to look how much she's changed in the last year.

Advice

If you want to do something a little different, it's going to take some time to achieve the look you want. A lot of things I had to make myself which I really enjoyed. Just get a head start on your DIY projects and also start decorating several days in advance. You don't want to be scrambling last minute. Somehow though, it ends up happening anyway. It's such a special day so enjoy every moment!!
