Description
We hosted a French themed first birthday party for my son. We decorated with red, navy blue, light blue, and white. We served gruyere grilled cheese sandwiches, bistro fries, salad, baguette, and cheese for lunch. Desert was zucchini-quinoa cupcakes, French chocolate cake, pate-a-choux, petits palmiers, meringues, brioche and nutella.
Design Inspiration
Rocco's first birthday is close to Bastille Day and of course he is our Petit Prince, so that was my inspiration for the French theme.

Advice
Keep it simple enough that you can enjoy yourself and have fun - a first birthday only happens once!

I like the simplicity of the party details. And the food looks delish! Now I'm craving for some grilled cheese sandwich, fries and meringues!
