Description
Using the existing furniture, this was a small makeover to a small bedroom, in a low budget.
Design Inspiration
A butterflies mural was the starting point, it was the girls' dream.
Decorating Style
The linen and lace pillows, monogrammed lampshade introduced vintage elements in a contemporary bedroom.
Project Details
The butterflies are a DIY project, done on paper. Very easy to make and with a lovely impact. All the other elements are from Perfect Home (perfect-home.blogspot.pt), except the chest of drawers (from Ikea) and the jewelry box, that was arleady in the room.
Favorite Items
The lace pillows and the monogrammed lampshade.
Advice
Use the child as inspiration. At this age they have a vision of what they like in their bedroom. Add elements such as monogrammed pillows/lampshades that make the room their own. If the bedroom is very small, like this one, use light colors - white is always the best base.
