Description
I started out not wanting a theme for his room, but we ended up with a lot of airplanes and some elephants, too! The colors are light and bright and fun- yellow, blue, gray and white. We splurged on his glider and crib, but everything else in his room is pretty budget-friendly!
Design Inspiration
I have some more photos on my blog post on the nursery.

I LOVE his little reading corner with his pillow- I hope he enjoys reading when he's older. I also love the vintage airplane from my grandpa.
Advice
Mix and match things you already have and start your search early so you can get good deals. I saw on Project Nursery when we were getting started to look outside of the baby stores and found that really helpful!
You really did a fantastic job in keeping this simple but so perfect for your bundle of joy.
Love the yellow side table!
Such and elegant and classy room. I love how you executed the theme and still kept everything clean and crisp. And hey, that yellow side table and blue chair are gorgeous!
beautiful room…that teal chair is amazing! LOVE!
Are you happy with the rug? I’ve been looking for ages for a rug like this that is within this price range! They grey looks a lot darker in your pictures then on the website. Is it? What size in yours? Love the room. Mine is very similar and the rug has been stumping me!!
Great sense of style! Love the old and new balance! My fav… the vintage propeller paired with those prints! LOVE!!
I’m curious to know the color and maker of your gray paint. Thank you! Absolutely adorable nursery!
I LOVE this nursery, great job!! I’m wondering what size your rug is? I’m going to get a similar one from Urban Outfitters, and I’m wondering if this is the 5×7 or 8×10?
Sorry this is so late, this is my first time logging in since the baby was born!
The rug is 5×7 and yes it is a little darker than on the Urban Outfitters website. I like it and think it’s fine on top of carpet, but if you have a hard floor it would need some sort of pad under it for sure. It’s not very soft either- when I put the baby on the floor I usually have a blanket under him (when he’s a little older he’ll be fine). The corners curl up sometimes, but if I just flip them under for a day it lays flat again. For the price, I’m not complaining :)
Sorry but I have no idea about the paint. The room was already this color when we moved in, and the paint in the garage doesn’t have a name or code on it! It’s just walmart paint.
Hi! I was curious if there is a difference in paint color in the pottery barn crib and the ikea changing table!? I love pottery barn but want to save some money by going with the changing table you used however I’m a little OCD on matching the furniture!! Ha
this is just about the most perfect little nursery!
Ikea offers white Hemnes dressers in two different finishes: “white stain” and “white” (a shinier finish). May I ask which one you used? Which is pictured here? Thank you!
Where did you get the vintage airplane prints from?
Hi there!
I am also using the Hemnes Dresser as a Changing Table, but am curious which exact topper you used from pottery barn, because the white color matches the dresser perfectly. I am nervous to order without knowing, since there are so many varieties of white. Many thanks in advance!
Where did you get the airplane prints and the propeller?
Where did you find the framed photos above the change table?
