This is my son's nursery at Grandma's house. We share my old room when we visit her. When I found out I was pregnant with a boy I knew I wanted to paint my old bedroom and make it more boy friendly…but Grandma wasn't down for that. So, I had to figure out how to make my purple fortress (designed by me at 16) more masculine. When I was a teenager I decorated the room with a purple, black and ivory color scheme...I'm just grateful that I didn't decide to go with a hot pink leopard theme at the time! Sticking with that same scheme, I added a touch of masculinity for my little man using a mustache motif.
Now I love the room, we fit right in! My favorite design elements are the portrait wall of him with little staches on…so cute! and the DIY mobile (made by me) with paint swatches and crystals.
