Maddie’s Nursery

Description

As soon I knew we were having a girl I knew I wanted a feminine room without the pink overload.  Most of the inspiration pictures that I was drawn to seemed to have aqua and grey in them.  I incorporated several different patterns that I loved into this room.

Design Inspiration

I drew most of my inspiration from Pinterest Boards and Project Nursery.

Decorating Style

I consider this style contemporary with a few modern-traditional elements thrown in for character.

Favorite Items

The chandelier is my favorite item in the room.  I'm so happy with the way it turned out, especially since it was a last minute change to the room.

Advice

Give yourself plenty of time to shop around for bargains and sales and to complete DIY projects.  Also, don't be afraid to use on traditional colors in your nursery.  Even though there isn't any pink in the room, there's enough feminine details to let you know that "It's a Girl!"
