Ella’s Aqua and Citrus Nursery

Description

Ella's nursery is cheerful and bright.  Aqua accents pair beautifully with the pink, orange and yellow citrus colors.  Elephants abound.  It is a room that makes you smile!

Design Inspiration

I was inspired by the detail and character of our 1800's farmhouse, and by the mixing and matching of different colors and patterns.  It's amazing how a vision can evolve from one piece - in our case, the aqua armoire.

Decorating Style

Shabby chic with a love of all things beach.

Favorite Items

My favorite item is the towel rack because it was made from a simple piece of driftwood found at the beach in town and it was awesome to see this idea come to life.

I also love the Ikea shelves which perfectly showcase all of the beautiful books we received at the shower.

Advice

I bought a lot of this stuff before we even moved into our house, so I had no idea what it would all look like together...don't over-think things...nurserys are supposed to be playful and fun!  I LOVE finding things at thrift shops, flea markets, on craigslist, and of course Etsy.  There's nothing like a good DIY project when you're "nesting" :)

Thank you! The paint was custom matched to the armoire so unfortunately I don’t know the exact color.
