Liv Adaline’s ‘Boho Aztec’ Nursery

Description

My husband and I didn't know if we were having a boy or girl, we wanted to keep it a surprise which meant creating a beautiful nursery that would suit either gender. The walls throughout our home and in the nursery were already gray and I wanted to stay with that color scheme. I chose cream as the additional color so I could add accents and change up the style whenever I wanted to.

I absolutely LOVED the idea of a teepee in the nursery so that when the baby is a little older they have a built in 'fort' already in their space for playing, reading or even napping with our puppy. I was able to source the teepee locally-  that was the starting point, my inspiration!

I have traveled extensively and had textiles from Peru, Belize and other areas so I knew there needed to be an eclectic / Aztec vibe. Hence the theme 'Boho Aztec'.

I sourced the crib, dresser, rug and glider from popular brands, for everything else I tried to use local artists and friends, including pillows, curtains and banners from one of my besties and paintings from my mom!

The space turned out beautifully, it feels zen, magical and I love that Liv is surrounded by locally sourced items made with love.
