Description
A soft serene whimsical inspired nursery for our first baby
Design Inspiration
I put hours of inspiration into my wedding (My favorite day)the previous year and wanted to follow the same shabby chic whimsical theme. Of course just like my wedding, Pinterest and Etsy were my "go to" areas of inspiration.
Decorating Style
When choosing Lilianna's name it was actually taken from my beautiful wedding shoes which I made sure that I framed so I could tell her one day. I also used elements from our wedding that I saved, such as the shabby fabric corner banner (hung over our ceremony site) as well as the fabric poms holding the window drapes back. I wanted to use our Mint green wedding color and neutral calm tones such as the ivory and gray. I knew they would work well if we had a boy or girl. When we found out we were having a girl I started to add girly pinks and also girly bows for her crib.

Favorite Items
I am head over heels for her hot air balloon mobile. It added the perfect whimsy and girly touch I was looking for. I also love her lamb rocker. Its the perfect "baby" feel for the room. And I can't not comment on how much her satin crib bedding accents everything. It is just so soft and gentle for a little girl.
Advice
Start with colors you love and think of things that make you feel happy. Start adding elements based around those, you're "happy" vibes get passed to your little one while in your womb and also once here.
