Jet’s Airplane Party

With a major in Studio Art from College of Charleston & a major in Graphic Design from The International Academy of Design, I have always loved the mix of modern designs, handmade art, texture, pattern, and color. After working for Quiksilver as a Graphic Designer in Sunny Southern California, I transitioned into an Art Director at O’Neill Clothing designing the juniors and girls printed marketing materials and developing global branding strategies for the company. My husband and I welcomed a new little love into our lives in ’07, Van Erwin and vanerwin.com was born. I am on the never ending search for new things that are pleasing to the eye, good for mother earth, and healthy for our children. I work part time with my sister Dana and Dad Dean Young on the Comic Strip Blondie, and I am in the process of writing a children’s book with my sister about birthdays. Writing. I am the writer & editor of mom/design blog (vanerwin.com) which focuses primarily on great new products and design oriented things. I write on life, struggles, love, marriage, raising children, family, health, sleeping, entertaining, recipe’s, sustainable living, toys, organic foods, interior design, print design, photography, books, music, and gardening. I have a loving husband two beautiful sons. and two very hairy dogs! ENJOY.
