Industrial Boy’s Room

Description

Sam was starting middle school and the Winnie the Pooh wallpaper just wasn't cutting it any more. It was time for a change! Sam and his mom came to me with his hand drawn floor plan and room inspiration images. We created a fuctional space that represented him fully.

Design Inspiration

Sam dreams of attending the naval academy and becoming a pilot. He loves all things armed forces. So naturally, it started with an informational lesson from Sam on the F-22 Raptor. It’s a military aircraft and one of his favorites. For our initial meeting, we sat down and discussed his collection of inspiration photos (so cute!) and his hand drawn floor plan. We talked routines, room needs, and the overall feel. :)

Advice

Start with a good neutral foundation. If Sam ever grows out of this armed forces theme (which I highly doubt!), we could easily transition this room into another theme. This room is very versatile. He'll be enjoying this room well into high school.

Hi,

Where did you get the clocks and what are the city name labels made from/how did you attach them to the wall?
