Emmalyn’s Bright & Bold Nursery

Description

I am not a big fan of pastel colors so I wanted something bright and fun for Emmalyn's nursery. Her nursery is a pretty small room so I also needed to be extra creative with the space. I even took the closet door off and hung a curtain there instead to gain a few extra feet of space!

Design Inspiration

As I mentioned, I knew I wanted bright and bold colors for Emmalyn's nursery. After lots of searching I finally found a bedding set I liked when Heidi Klum released her line, Truly Scrumptious, at Babies R Us. Once I had those colors everything fell into place.

Decorating Style

The rest of the house has a "zen" approach, but with her room I wanted something fun and that's exactly what I got :-)

Favorite Items

I'm not sure I can pick one, I just love how the whole room came together. When I was still pregnant I would just sit in the glider and enjoy the room. I just love it and am so proud of myself. :-)

Advice

I really enjoyed a lot of the DIY projects I did to have the whole room come together. If you enjoy them, I would suggest it to anyone. The room is more personal and unique when all is said and done. And sometimes (yes sometimes) you save some money. :-)
