Description
I wanted a cute, girly nursery for Ellie. I also had a small budget to work with. I started with the gray walls, then picked the bedding that I loved. I loved the idea of soft pink in her room, and knew I did not want a character theme, but something that could grow with her.
Design Inspiration
I loved the look of the damask print with the light pink against the gray walls. Then I had the nursery rocker recovered with polka dot fabric and I decided I LOVED the mixing of the polka dots and damask print..so we went with it. ;-)
Decorating Style
Its pretty much a blend of what I loved. No specific decorating style.
Project Details
Crib Bedding- Cotton tale Designs/Girly Collection http://www.cottontaledesigns.com/
Boudoir Mirror - Target
Changing table was one we had with my son and my husband painted and refinished it, and put new hardware on it. (Hardware is from Hobby Lobby)
Crib- Storkcraft Sheffield II from W-Mart
The rocking chair was another item my son had in his nursery. A friend painted it crisp white to match the crib, and re-upholstered with polka dot fabric from Joann's!
The night stand was a thrift store find. I just painted it black and weaved pink ribbon in it. It was the perfect size for the small space, and I loved how it turned out!
Black Shelf- Ikea/Expedit Collection
Pink Fabric Baskets- Target
Bow Board- A gift from my sis-n-law, purchased from Etsy
The Letter E and frame hanging above her bed, were both purchased from Hobby Lobby. I just had to spray paint the frame. (Ballet Slipper Pink by Krylon)
Favorite Items
My favorite item in her room is the pom-poms hanging above her rocking chair. I made them myself, and it happens to be the CHEAPEST decorating element of all- at only $3!!
Advice
You don't have to spend a lot of money to make a cute nursery! Think outside of the box!

My favorite here is the little potted plant and the figurines beside it.
