Colton James Nursery

Description

I decided that since my wife had the hard part of the deal, I could at least take care of the nursery for her. Our little boy isn't due for a couple weeks, but the room is done and ready for him. I posted these pictures on another forum for expectant parents and some of them suggested I share it on here so here they are. I had a blast coming up with the designs and taking them from paper and pencil to completed pieces. Hope you all enjoy!!

Design Inspiration

As a furniture builder I would say my biggest inspiration was just my own imagination.

Decorating Style

Living in Lake Ozark, Missouri most of our activities and life style revolve around the lake, boating, fishing and relaxing. It was a perfect fit for us to use a Nautical theme for our first child, and once I started building I just couldn't stop. :)

Favorite Items

I would have to say my favorite item in the room would be the 6.5 foot tall Lighthouse nightlight I built. I've been building custom pieces for many years, but the fact that it's one of a kind and it's for my first child make it my favorite piece in the room.

I absolutely love your sailboat shelve…Would you sell it? Is the sail of the boat made of wood as well? It looks like a type of Canvas… Please let me know if you sell it…thank you so much!

Thank you for your comment.. If I ever build those to sell I’ll let you know, the problem is shipping would be so expensive due to there size.

  6. Lovely room. Looks so warm and cozy. Your baby is so lucky to have a dad who makes furniture! That’s a really nice bonus. Imagine the things you could build together someday!
