Chloe’s Pink, Blue and Green Nursery

Description

I designed this nursery little by little when I was pregnant with my little one.  I had an idea of the colors I wanted - pink, blue, and green -  and just added pieces as I found them.

Design Inspiration

The inspiration was the baby blanket I made a few years ago for my future baby girl (I was sure I would have one eventually!).  It is draped over the chair in the photo.  I just love the colors and pattern.  I wanted a room that wasn't too girly or cartoonish, but simple and colorful.

Decorating Style

Simple, fun, classic

I made the crib skirt using this tutorial, and the bunting using this one.

The dresser I found on craigslist years ago, and repainted it and added crystal knobs.  The changing table was a hand-me-down, and was custom made I believe. The several baskets around the room, as well as the pink "C" are from Ross.

Favorite Items

The glider, by far!  I got a great deal on it and use it several times a day for nursing and reading stories to my baby.  I also love the bunting and crib skirt. I made them and they just add so much color and fun to the room.

Advice

I had no idea what the finished project would look like, but I just added stuff I liked as I went along, and it turned out great!  Just choose a color scheme and find pieces you are drawn to that fit within that color scheme.  Have fun with it!
