DIY Feature Wall Baby Nursery

Description

I wanted to create a fun and flexible space that wasn't too 'girly', I am not much of a 'pink' girl myself so I wanted the nursery to be semi gender neutral. Her room is designed to be easily adapted as she develops her own tastes and preferences and is hopefully a space she will love when she gets a bit older.

Design Inspiration

I was inspired by modern design and clean lines

Decorating Style

Graphic, modern and fun

Project Details

I painted the entire room with Dulux colours of New Zealand - the DIY feature wall is Lake Wakatipu,  The walls are Manorburn Quarter and the ceiling is Aniwaniwa Quarter.

The retro armchair is from Freedom Furniture and the peach cushion on the chair was purchased from Society6. Lamp stand and shade from Lighting Plus.

I have always loved the use of bunting in a nursery so I decided to make my own using fabric purchased from Spotlight. I found the cute print at White Fox & Co, the cot was purchased from Farmers and the star cot blanket from Citta Design. The cross blanket is from Jamie Kay and comes in two sizes, it is also reversible!

The shelves are from Bunnings Warehouse and I couldn't find any brackets I really liked so my Dad made these for me and I painted them white. The chevron cushion is from Witchery and the diamond cushion is by Lorna Love.

The little white Country Road bunny was a gift from a friend and I found the clock at The Warehouse. The dino planter was originally fluro green so I gave him a re-paint using Dulux Havelock North to compliment the other peach accents in the room.

The basket is from The Warehouse and my blanket obsession continues with this gorgeous stripe blanket from Kate & Kate and beige knit throw from Witchery. The chevron and teal cushion was purchased from Society6. The beautiful pink swan is from Douglas & Bec.

We painted the wardrobe doors with chalkboard paint from Bunnings Warehouse, and I drew the alphabet freehand. The felt garland is from Jamie Kay and the fox print from Society6. The wooden letters that spell her name are from Spotlight and I painted them using Dulux Havelock North and glitter. The side table was purchased from trade me and I re-painted it using Dulux Havelock North. The soft toy is from Lily & George and the storage boxes are from The Warehouse.

Favorite Items
