Description
The space was a dumping ground for all things in our house that didn't have a home. It is also very tiny, but perfect for a nursery. My husband and I did majority of the work ourselves, taking it down to the studs, moving and reframing the closet, and slowly rebuilding the room. We had the original floors refinished.
Design Inspiration
I wanted a cozy space that wasn't too girly, with a neutral base that Ava could grow into for years to come. I love the look of white rooms and thought I would give it a try in her nursery. With the neutral base I was able to add in pink accents now and we can swap it out for a different color accent as she gets older. Some people thought white was not a great choice for a nursery, but that's why bleach was invented!
Decorating Style
Traditional
Project Details
I used a mix of old and new. Her crib is the Jenny Lind crib from Amazon, the rocking chair and drapes are from the Restoration Hardware outlet. Her dresser/changing table is from Craigslist which my husband and I refinished. The area rug is from Pottery Barn.
Favorite Items
I love the framed items above the rocking chair. The sweater was my husbands which his Grandmother knit for him. The white gloves were my ballet gloves as a child. I also painted the painting above her crib which was inspired by Pinterest.
Advice
Go with your gut even if it isn't a traditional use of the space.

That mirror looks really interesting. You have a front-view picture of that?
