Description
My husband and I really wanted to create a calming place that we could take the baby. I would look online for hours hoping to find items we liked. We purchased items from so many different places, online and in store, I was nervous about how it would all come together. In the end it was exactly what I had envisioned.

Favorite Items
The sunburst mirror above the crib. My husband found this at Hobby Lobby and we left without purchasing it. I couldn't stop thinking about it so I went back and purchased it. It was only $21 bucks! I also love the throw pillow. It was a gift from my sister in law. It's so special to me because I used to sing the song to my husband when we first started dating.
Advice
If you don't love it, send it back! We did a lot of trial and error in the nursery. I saw an idea on Pinterest with wire baskets that were nailed to the wall for storage. It looked flawless- then we attempted the same. My husband put them up and after an hour I asked him to take them down. I felt terrible but I knew I wouldn't be able to live with it.
Purchase items that are versatile, things that you can use later down the road in other rooms of your home. We LOVE the rug that we chose and think it fits perfectly in the nursery. I also know that I can use it in any other room in our home when our son is done using it.
Organization! I'm an organization FREAK. One of the most important things for us was to stay organized. I know that once our son arrives things will be chaotic so we want to make life a little easier for ourselves.
