Pia´s Colorful First Bday!

Description

Started working on my daughter´s bday 3 months prior to the date and my husband said I was crazy. I got a chance to work on every little detail from the napkins to the color me table settings. We rented a baby gym, popcorn stand, and downloaded Pia´s favorite music· Finding Nemo and Rio soundtrack. I loved how everything turned out! She had a blast!

Design Inspiration

I got inspired from some colorful fabric I wanted to use for the dessert table.

Decorating Style

Thoughtful and cheerful!

Project Details

I used baby juice bottles and sterilized them and put a cute personalized sticker. My great aunt brought colorful straws to go with that. I ordered pink lemonade and it looked and tasted delis. I went to a dollar store and bought crayons and had them packed and labeled. I also bought the vases which I painted and added buttons to go along with the theme. Made boxes and filled them with chocolate almonds and made fans since it was hot. I also made the cupcake stand from wrapped gift boxes. The appetizers were cubed ham and cheese which looked so yummy. I made the piñata from Piá´s new car seat packaging, totally recycled! Super fun!

I just love your colorful buttons cake! It's simple but very pretty. I like your cupcake holders or cups, too.

hi Jimma, what can I say, everything is so lovely. You need to teach us how to make that pinata :)

Thanks! Started out by cutting to identical 1s from cardboard...used masking tape to join, but not too much. And added the rest of the pieces. Used colored tissue paper and fringed, glue and water, and added layer by layer. It was fun!

Hi! Thank you!! Using cardboard and masking tape...I started with cutting 2 number 1s, identical, and from there the rest of the pieces. Used tissue paper and fringed it...water and glue...and the fun began!
