Love Pretty Garlands grew from the idea of creating a garland for my daughter (whom I was pregnant with at the time). I wanted something pretty for her nursery wall and loved the country / shabby chic look. I had been playing around with my mum (who does all the sewing) making various things for the baby (blankets, bibs etc) and we decided to try a fabric lettered garland that would look great on her wall and also be a keepsake. The finished result was beautiful and I soon began making them for friends kids rooms as gifts. I have always wanted to be able to work from home and bring up my 3 children so I started selling my garlands on Etsy and it grew from there. A lot of care and attention goes to producing each handmade letter that make up the garlands. All are made from a colourful mix of pretty fabrics that combined result in our beautiful garlands. What started off with just a one letter size garland has now developed into a 3 different size letter ones. 6cm, 9cm and 15 cm. I also now make vertical hanging garlands, ideal for hanging on doors for instance. Each letter is padded and beautifully finished off. I love making the garlands and interacting with my customers. The adult interaction keeps me sane with 3 kids in the house. It's incredibly satisfying working on beautiful keepsakes for children, knowing people love our work and that they stand proud in childs bedrooms.
