Oh, you are going to love this sweet space. This little girl’s nursery is special and unique thanks to that gorgeous Otomi wall (can you even believe that’s not wallpaper?!). Today we’re touring the nursery of Meredith Timms Staggers, of Cake & Confetti. Meredith shares her love of celebrations over on her pretty site (seriously, go check it out), and it’s clear how much joy she’s carried over into this space for her little cutie Piper. Thank you, Meredith, for sharing your daughter’s nursery with us.

Where did you pull inspiration for your nursery design?
Trent (my husband) and I both love taking trips down to Mexico, and I fell in love with the detail and colors of the Otomi embroidery pieces sold at a lot of the little shops down there. I came across this Otomi inspired pillow last summer, and it inspired the rest of the room. Shortly after, I found this rug that perfectly matched the pillow and the look I wanted for the space. Since the rug is a statement on its own, I decided to go with neutrals for the rest of the furniture.

What part of the design process did you enjoy the most?
Creating a one of a kind space for our little girl! I spent a lot of time on every detail—from making tassels for the changing table to adding pom poms around the reading nook canopy. This was my favorite DIY project yet!

What is your favorite part or detail in your nursery?
I have two. First, the Otomi stenciled wall. It was a labor of love. My mom and I stenciled the whole thing together. It created great memories and is also such a focal point of the room. I also love our reclining glider with USB port. While I was still going in there at night to feed Piper, it provided a comfortable place to feed, and I loved the USB port because I would charge my phone while I read books.
What is one thing that you would tell other parents to consider when starting their own nursery design project?
Pull in details that are meaningful. We have fond memories of going to Mexico and look forward to bringing Piper there one day. I love how her room reminds us of a place special to us!

Hi Clarissa! It looks like the original source is no longer available, but this one at Amazon (affiliate link) looks similar to me! Good luck with your search!
