    I am always apprehensive about using wallpapers, because, as you said, it looks busy and it limits the things you can do with everything else. But this one actually works. It helped that they were willing to settle for plain and neutral bedding, furniture, etc.

    me too. i prefer plain and light-colored backgrounds or walls because it gives me flexibility with the accents and accessories and the design details. i think that the devil is in the details, so i’m very fond of adding whimsical items. so what i am saying is that printed wallpapers take a lot of design talent to pull off, and the one who did this nursery certainly has!

    exactly the opposite for me. i love wallpapers with fun prints or patterns because it’ gives me an idea of how to go about decorating the rest of the room. i think wallpapers make a great guide or inspiration and they definitely make the room look less bare.
