I had the pleasure of helping reality star, Melissa Rycroft and her hubby Tye, design their first nursery for their little girl who is due to arrive in a few short weeks. Melissa and Tye were so excited and a little bit anxious to put the finishing touches on their Bellini nursery since they were scheduled to reveal all the details in an exclusive photo shoot with OK Magazine. Here’s the 411 on the nursery and all the beautiful things Melissa and Tye hand picked.
First, let me just say that Melissa and Tye were one of the nicest celebrity couples I have ever worked with. Down to earth and enthusiastic about the baby, they were glowing and all smiles through the whole process. After a bit of back and forth, they ended up choosing a convertible crib, Debby, in the Espresso finish. It was Melissa’s idea to accent the crib with a crown tent that coordinated with the Nava custom bedding.
In addition to the crib, the couple selected the Bellini Domani collection furniture and an upholstered Little Castle Glider. Both are best sellers and available at Bellini.
Other room accessories included a gorgeous chandelier and lamp by I Lite 4 U, prints for the wall by Dish and Spoon, a yummy blanket by Boogie Baby as well as a fabulous hand painted table (seen above) and crown both by Sherry. These hand-painted pieces can be custom ordered through Bellini. We wish Melissa and Tye all the luck in the world as they welcome their new baby girl. They are sure to create wonderful memories in their daughter’s beautiful nursery.

No offense, but I can’t believe the design of this nursery took a professional. Nothing special here.

Beautiful job, Michelle! Such a sweet PINK nursery! My favorite item is the hand painted table!

They look so in love and the baby should be a blessing for both. Congratulations Melissa and Tye. In any case, this nursery is just great. Not the first nursery I’ve seen to combine pink and dark/classic colors, but this is really pleasing to the eye. The softness of pink really took the edge of the crib and all the other more mature looking furniture!
@babyluv: Are you kidding me? This is one of the best designed nursery I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a lot. Maybe the simplicity of it all can fool you into thinking that it’s easily done, but it’s actually not.

They seem like a very down to earth and sweet couple who will make great parents.
That being said, I agree with @babyluv….this nursery doesn’t look like it was designed by a professional. I can’t get past the scale and placement of the art on the wall.

Hi Michelle, that table is adorable, as well as the crown and the lamp. Would you have a photo of the chandelier?

Michelle,
Where did the white and brown dog stuffed animal come from? It’s by the chair Tye and Melissa are sitting on.

Ooohh! I love how bright, girly and clean this room looks. I love what you did with the curtains and the beddings. Everything has a common thread. I’m sure Melissa and Tye’s little one would love this room. Great work!

Hi there-Melissa lives in Texas and we helped her pick the items in NY so she did her own installment paint, carpet etc.. She got product including furniture, bedding and accessories from us. The dog is from Bellini. I will try and get more pics of chandelier!
Carolyn
