Baby Blue Baby Shower

Baby Showers are a wonderful opportunity to pamper the mama-to-be with an afternoon of pretty things and perfect company!  When I think of a “pretty” baby shower, I immediately gravitate towards pink!  Pretty pink flowers, sweet decorations and beautiful cupcakes.  But what about those moms that are having boys?  They deserve a “pretty” baby shower too, don’t you think?

Today, I am focusing on a few ideas to help you create a modern, pretty baby shower….with a lovely color palette of blue, green and a touch of purple.

I absolutely love this invitation from Tiny Prints!  It’s cute and playful and gives you that touch of modern that I always crave for my parties.  It could also work for just about any theme shower you can imagine!  This beautiful shade of blue is the perfect jumping off point for our color palette, and as you can see below, is used throughout the inspiration board.

Keep your table fresh and modern looking by using all white linens, dishes and flowers.  Pop in some blue and green funky vases in all different shapes, and a creative placecard in the shape of a flower.  A few simple decorations can add a festive look to any location.  This paper garland would be darling hung over a buffet or gift table!

A couple other ideas for personal touches: set up a bulletin board where guests can leave a personal message for the baby and parents-to-be, and have tiny bouquets of flowers for each guest to take home with them at the end of the shower with a thank you note attached.

And if you are looking for the perfect gift…..look no further than this charming moses basket from Layla Grayce!

Kelly, I am absolutely dying to find out what fonts were used on that invitation. I’ve been looking at the fonts I have in my computer, but nothing matches, not even close. Would you happen to know what fonts these are? It looks like 3 different fonts (they all have different looking e’s)

Great idea on the place card. It’s really difficult to reconcile having flowers for a baby boy’s shower… but these are great ideas that I can’t wait to try them out! One thing also is to have party favors using blue and green candy. Perhaps you could put it into a similarly colored basket, or a tiny bag.
