Real Parties: Kate’s Fairy Garden Birthday Party!

Today’s Real Party comes directly from one of our very own PN contributors, Kim at The TomKat Studio. Kim created this fabulous Fairy Garden party for her daughter’s 3rd birthday last month. You might remember Kate’s party last year, which was the Lollipop Sweet Shoppe theme. After Kate’s Lollipop Party hit the party blogging world, via Project Nursery, Hostess with the Mostess and dozens of other sites, it became a wildly popular theme. We have no doubt that this Fairy Garden theme will also be quite popular! Without further ado, here are some details straight from the source…

My daughter Kate has been very into Tinkerbell the last few months. She was Tinkerbell for Halloween and wears her tutus and wings constantly while floating around the house. When I asked her if she wanted to have a Fairy Party for her birthday, of course she was excited! From there, I went on a hunt for ideas and found some amazing inspiration. I envisioned all of the little girls in tutus and wings and with a little help, it all came together! The girls were also given handmade flower wands. Kate wore a custom made rosette tank top by Modern Frills, along with a gorgeous tutu made by my mom. She wore an adorable crown designed by True Love Found, as well as a fabulous pink flower clippie by Dolce Vita Mia. I couldn’t wait to start planning the dessert table, inspired by the one and only Amy Atlas! I called in some help from local bakers, neighbors and a few connections through blogging/Etsy! Marian from Sweetopia created the custom cookies using my designs. Kim from Sweeties created the chocolate covered oreo pops and oreos. I made the cupcakes & toppers (my specialty!), using a ruffle technique! All of the little fairies were adorable! The dessert table was a hit! Who wouldn’t love a table full of colorful sweets?

We are so lucky to have such a talented team of contributors, don’t you think? Visit The TomKat Studio for a full list of resources and Kim’s Etsy shop for the best in DIY printable parties & projects!
