Pretty in Palms Nursery

We love this take on a palms nursery. The feathery botanical is always pretty, and by using neutral toned palms, this nursery radiates calm and boho vibes. Subtle gold accents and lots of beautiful natural light make the nursery shine.

Sophisticated touches like the dresser and mirror will make transitioning this space into an eventual big girl room easy too. Mama Cristina Enea designed this pretty space for baby girl Gabriella and answered our questions about her palms nursery below. Thank you, Cristina!

Where did you pull inspiration for your nursery design?
My husband and I love Chicago, but our second favorite home is on an airplane, visiting the most beautiful places in the world. We both love palm trees and the ocean, so we wanted to create a space for our little girl to feel like she is always on vacation with us at home, even when it’s cold in the Windy City.

What part of the design process did you enjoy the most?
I love supporting small businesses, so I really enjoyed finding unique décor as finishing touches for this nursery.

What is your favorite part or detail in your nursery?
When the light hits the white vase, florals, candle and pink sunglasses, it makes me so happy.

What is one thing that you would tell other parents to consider when starting their own nursery design project?
Have fun with the process and don’t stress if it’s not done exactly in time—they won’t know the difference!
