Inside Melissa Molinaro’s Modern Blush Nursery

It’s nursery reveal time again! I had the pleasure of working on a nursery design for the super talented Melissa Molinaro. She and her husband had just purchased a new home and were able to move in mere weeks before her due date! The home was a total clean slate. Melissa knew she wanted something white and bright with touches of blush pink and gold. She also has a very distinct personal style—not quite modern and not quite traditional, but elements of both.

We started with the Harlow Acrylic Crib, which if you haven’t seen, you should definitely go check out. It’s so sleek and modern but not coldly so. I’ve used this crib in rooms that have a more traditional feel, and it still works!

Since we had the white crib, I didn’t want to do a dresser in all white. Melissa installed gorgeous new wood floors in the home, so I wanted to show her something that had a wood accent to bring in some texture. The dresser we chose also has acrylic knobs, which tie in perfectly with the crib.

To bring in the blush accent, I chose this stunning blush rug. It has a super soft texture and almost glimmers. We made sure to get a nice big size to help the room feel larger. I layered in a little faux sheepskin cloud rug for added texture as well.

Window treatments are such a big part of nursery design, and I wanted Melissa’s draperies to be perfect. Because she had higher ceilings, I went with custom curtains to make sure we had the perfect length, and we had them blackout lined for light protection.

The acrylic accents really do make a huge statement. Melissa loves acrylic and it works so well with her style, so it was really important to have this standout piece.

I added a few more blush accessories to really pull the room together.

    Hi Ricki,
Unfortunately I don’t have that info since Melissa had the whole house painted by the builder before we started work on the nursery. Sorry!
