If you put anything in a fancy glass, your kids are going to be impressed. And while our days of sipping bubbly out on the town may be temporarily put on hold, that doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun. Inspired by Paula’s beautiful served dessert featured in our 10 Things to Do with Kids on New Year’s Eve post, I decided to try my hand at decorating a few myself.
First pick up some plastic drink glasses—I found my plastic champagne flutes at Target—and then picked up some fixings for your desserts. I used strawberry yogurt, vanilla pudding, whipped cream and some decorative toppings.
Really you can pick anything you want. Keep them healthy with yogurt and fruit decoration or go all out with ice cream, whipped cream and marshmallows. Your kids will feel extra fancy on New Year’s Eve no matter what you pick.
Have them help and make their own and you’ll get a fun activity out of it as well. Just don’t forget the spoons!
Happy New Year!
