It has been said to every mother but it is so very true………Babies are infants for such a short, short, time. Take each moment and enjoy your child. The house will never get so horribly dirty (messy maybe unorganized, yes, but not dirty) that it is hopeless. When friends ask to help, take them up on it but with specific direction…..please make a dinner for the family. Just run the vacuum, walk the dog, pick up the other children., These moments with YOUR baby are never repeated, so enjoy

It may feel impossible most of the time but we need to find the balance between enjoying the time with our little ones as well as finding time to ourselves. I still laydown and read to all my children, even my oldest. I am exhausted by the time I get to her room after being with the others but I want them all to remember that I put aside the dishes to spend time with them. At the same time I try very hard to carve out time to myself each night, even if to just to make a grocery list in peace or I try and get a night away every few months. I love my children but I also need to remember who I am and not let my children take over every part of me before I become lost.
